It’ll take a monumental effort, but the Carolina Panthers can win their Week 10 primetime contest against the Atlanta Falcons.

Nobody can say for sure just how things are going to go for the Carolina Panthers over their remaining games in 2022. Last weekend’s pathetic loss at the Cincinnati Bengals demoralized everyone associated with the organization, so a big response is needed with the NFL’s full attention on Thursday Night Football against the Atlanta Falcons.

Steve Wilks is a proud man that has his work cut out. The Panthers made the right call by firing Matt Rhule, but that didn’t mean things were going to dramatically improve as the campaign went on given the franchise’s current state.

Wilks has restored a sense of belonging, even though the results might not be showing it right now. Any further regression is unlikely to see the interim head coach win the job long-term, which is something the Falcons will be all-too-aware of as they look to boost their NFC South title credentials at Bank of America Stadium.

It’ll be another close contest if their Week 8 clash was any indication. Here are four reasons why the Panthers can emerge victorious versus Atlanta.

Carolina Panthers are a wounded animal

Sunday’s battering at the Cincinnati Bengals stung players and coaches alike. This makes the Carolina Panthers a wounded animal on primetime, which is the most dangerous element of all when push comes to shove.

Just how badly this hurt Carolina’s confidence is anyone’s guess. But unless certain individuals stand up and make their presences felt, then their futures on the Panthers could look incredibly bleak beyond the current campaign.

Steve Wilks will know far more about his players after this one. A true make-or-break scenario with their backs firmly against the wall.
