Which Carolina Panthers players are finally starting to realize their potential during the 2022 season so far?

Amid all the doom and gloom, there have been a few positives for the Carolina Panthers this season. They might be hard to find with the team currently sitting at 3-7 and staring another high-end draft pick in the face, but certain individuals are emerging from another lost campaign with credit thanks to their efforts under extreme pressure.

Focusing on the bad is something pretty common among fans. However, general manager Scott Fitterer would not have resisted trade offers for some prominent figures within the locker room if he didn’t think the Panthers had a bright future.

Whether Fitterer will be around when that happens is anyone’s guess. But the spine is there for Carolina to build and some are even performing better than originally anticipated despite the team’s overall record.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players finally starting to realize their potential in 2022.

Terrace Marshall Jr. – Carolina Panthers WR

It’s been a relatively small sample size for Terrace Marshall Jr. But the wide receiver’s progress from a prominent role in the immediate aftermath of Matt Rhule’s firing is a much-needed step forward for the LSU product.

Marshall was underused and clearly had some issues with Rhule. The shackles of his controlling former head coach are now a thing of the past and hopefully, it can be the start of a productive career for the Carolina Panthers.

The only way is up for Marshall. Hope that wasn’t there under Rhule’s suspect leadership.
