4 Carolina Panthers players who deserve more credit in 2022

Brady Christensen – Carolina Panthers OL
As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers have made significant improvements across their offensive line this season. Something that is welcome and quite surprising after so much turmoil within the protection before the current campaign.
Another that probably deserves more credit for this upturn in production is Brady Christensen. The former third-round selection finally has a home next to Ikem Ekwonu at left guard, which was essential for the player’s piece of mind after a frustrating rookie campaign.
Christensen is athletic enough to fill this role long-term. There are some discipline issues with seven penalties already, but that should work itself out over time with more experience under his belt.
After Matt Rhule severely mismanaged Christensen in Year 1 of his professional career, many wondered whether he would ever get the chance to show what he was capable of for a prolonged period. Thankfully, common sense prevailed and the introduction of offensive line coach James Campen seems to have made a substantial difference for the BYU product and the team overall.
Again, it’s not perfect. But there is a renewed belief in Christensen forming a key component of Carolina’s protection long-term and it’s vital the front office keeps this core together by extending center Bradley Bozeman when the time comes.
