Carolina Panthers keep it close until late

According to the latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook, the Carolina Panthers are 13.0-point underdogs at the Baltimore Ravens in Week 11. A differential normally associated with college games rather than a professional setting.

Nobody fancies the Panthers in this one. These are two teams on different paths this season and if the Ravens do end up winning convincingly, not many will raise eyebrows in surprise.

However, this is not the same Panthers from earlier in the season. Steve Wilks is a proud man that demands nothing less than 100 percent commitment and accountability, which the players are responding to positively and performances are improving as a result.

Carolina goes into every game feeling like they have a chance under Wilks. This was not the case under Matt Rhule and although it might not come with a victory, the Panthers might be able to keep it close until late in proceedings.

Again, this is a tough challenge versus a team that could make a strong challenge for the AFC title this season. Nothing but excellence will do, but Wilks will have his team ready to rock in the face of significant adversity.

Something that will do his chances of a long-term commitment from the Panthers an untold amount of good when the time comes.
