4 key Carolina Panthers storylines to watch at the Ravens in Week 11

Carolina Panthers have Jeremy Chinn back
Options are limited within the secondary after Donte Jackson tore his Achilles and Myles Hartsfield didn’t make the trip to Baltimore after initially being listed as doubtful. However, the Carolina Panthers are set to get a major boost after activating Jeremy Chinn following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Chinn has been sorely missed on the backend and could play a leading role in Week 11 depending on how many reps he’s allocated. Steve Wilks has taken a cautious approach with the former second-round selection, but his ability to impact proceedings at the line of scrimmage could come in handy against the supreme threat of quarterback Lamar Jackson.
While Chinn still needs work from a coverage standpoint, his natural instincts and explosiveness allow the do-it-all defender to be around the football consistently. Something the Panthers need in no uncertain terms versus an outstanding Ravens offense.
Expecting miracles from Chinn – who was last seen in Week 4 against the Arizona Cardinals – would be pushing things. But there’s nothing to suggest he cannot provide the spark Carolina’s defense needs to stay competitive, at the very least.
Chinn is a tremendous player and could be in line for a lucrative contract extension this offseason. Although it might not have a big say in the overall outcome, his presence on the field is sure to give everyone associated with the organization a huge lift.
