What were the silver linings to emerge from an uninspiring Week 11 defeat for the Carolina Panthers against the Baltimore Ravens?

It was another wasted Sunday for fans as the Carolina Panthers offense once again reverted to the tepid unit we’d seen under Matt Rhule, managing a meager three points in a disappointing loss at the Baltimore Ravens. The return of Baker Mayfield under center coincided with their worst offensive showing of the season, which didn’t surprise many.

Mayfield may have played his last snap as the team’s starter. More concerning for the former No. 1 overall selection is he’s done little to convince other general managers around the league he is worthy of a contract next season.

Steve Wilks was scathing to some of his players in his day-after press conference, laying down the gauntlet to some established members of the locker room in the hope it can galvanize them moving forward.

"“You know, one of the messages I talked about this morning in the team meeting, our star players got to play like stars, right?”"

Things don’t get much easier for Ben McAdoo and his offensive unit this Sunday as the Denver Broncos’ elite defense rolls into Charlotte. The oddsmakers aren’t expecting fireworks in this class with the over/under currently set at just 35.5 points according to FanDuel Sportsbook, which could mean another defensive battle comes in Week 12.

But it wasn’t all negative on Sunday. Let’s dive into four silver linings the Panthers can take from their loss last weekend.
