4 silver linings from the Panthers horrible loss at Ravens in Week 11

Carolina Panthers have a stud in Johnny Hekker
Here is your weekly segment where I praise the GOAT, Johnny Hekker.
As the season progresses, the decision by the Carolina Panthers to bring in Hekker following his release from the Los Angeles Rams proves to be a fruitful one. Especially considering Ben McAdoo’s offense boasts the most three-and-outs in 2022.
Hekker punted another six times at the Baltimore Ravens and four of those landed inside the opposition’s 20-yard line. His ability to flip the field certainly helps reduce the strain placed on this defensive unit due to such offensive ineptitude.
The pairing of Hekker with special teams coordinator Chris Tabor has seen a complete transformation in this critical phase of play, which was poor under the tenure of Chase Blackburn. A solid partnership that can hopefully provide the foundations for potential improvements in Carolina long-term.
Players such as Sam Franklin have really blossomed under the leadership of Tabor. Fans should hope we see the respected coach retained following the season despite the prospect of a new head coach coming into the fold.
In terms of Hekker – who is showing why he was voted as an All-Decade punter – is already proving to be one of Carolina’s best offseasons signings and one of the few bright spots from an otherwise dismal campaign.
