Which Carolina Panthers players are seeing their stock take a tumble as the team reaches its much-needed 2022 bye week?

The Carolina Panthers and its loyal fanbase have gone through plenty of ups and downs in 2022. A dismal start saw team owner David Tepper finally pull the plug on Matt Rhule and things are now finally looking up thanks to some improved results under interim head coach Steve Wilks.

Carolina is still looking at a high-end 2023 draft pick despite winning three straight at Bank of America Stadium. Further improvements could arrive after the bye week, which is normally the time coaches and players can relax, adjust, and hone their craft at an important stage of the campaign.

It’s been refreshing to see enhanced preparation and professionalism, which was non-existent under Rhule. However, that doesn’t mean some on Carolina’s roster aren’t seeing their own aspirations take a big hit as a result.

On this topic, we picked out four Panthers players whose stock is tumbling at the 2022 bye week.

Michael Jordan – Carolina Panthers OL

If Michael Jordan was hoping for some involvement within the Carolina Panthers’ newfound approach, he’s been out of luck so far. The interior lineman is on the outside looking in for the duration of 2022 and the coaching staff preferring the likes of Cam Erving and Cade Mays when introducing additional pieces on the protection is a damning indictment of his current predicament.

The Panthers finally have a productive – and healthy – offensive line. This has left Jordan out in the cold, but nobody is complaining too much given how inconsistent the former fourth-round pick performed during his first year with the franchise in 2021.
