Which Carolina Panthers could potentially benefit from a change of scenery when another eventful season in 2022 comes to a close?

There promises to be plenty to interest Carolina Panthers fans this off-season. Coaching and roster personnel could look vastly different in the not-too-distant future, but how much so could be entirely dependent on whether team owner David Tepper keeps Steve Wilks around as head coach on a permanent basis.

The next five games will go a long way to determining Wilks’ fate. There is a good chance Carolina can finish the season strongly, but that won’t be easy given how inconsistent this franchise has been more often than not in 2022.

For some, their respective futures are still hanging in the balance. For others, they will likely welcome a new opportunity elsewhere based on what’s transpired of late.

With that in mind, here are four Panthers that could use a change of scenery in 2023.

Considering there was a quiet sense of optimism surrounding Rashard Higgins before the season, it’s been disappointing to see such a lack of involvement. The wide receiver has been on the outside looking in and this is unlikely to change over the team’s final five fixtures.

Higgins starred during training camp and Baker Mayfield’s acquisition by the Carolina Panthers added a sense of intrigue. But it hasn’t gone according to plan and the former Colorado standout will jump at the chance to explore alternative avenues in free agency next spring.
