James Bradberry – Former Carolina Panthers CB

Letting James Bradberry walk was a hot topic at the time and even more so right now. Although things didn’t go according to plan for the talented cornerback during his two years with the New York Giants, he’s returned to the form of old after signing for the Philadelphia Eagles, who look set for the NFC’s No. 1 overall seed sitting at 11-1 currently.

Bradberry has been nothing short of sensational this season. His coverage skills have been almost flawless, with teams having to target him heavily thanks to the presence of potential All-Pro Darius Slay on the other side of the field.

This is a challenge Bradberry’s risen to in no uncertain terms. The former second-round selection has three interceptions, 14 passes defended, boasts one defensive touchdown, and is giving up just 45.5 percent of targets thrown in his direction.

The Arkansas State product is conceding a lowly 41.4 passer rating when targeted and Bradberry’s impressive 76.2 grade from Pro Football Focus is another indicator of the player’s high-performance levels throughout the campaign.

Money was the main issue why the Carolina Panthers let Bradberry test the free-agent market. Based on what’s transpired since it was a grave error in judgment.
