4 Panthers players that must perform at the Seahawks in Week 14

D’Onta Foreman – Carolina Panthers RB
The recipe for success under Steve Wilks is clear. This centers on outstanding defense and establishing the run game on offense to make things easier for whoever is manning the plate.
All the Carolina Panthers wins under Wilks have followed this mold. If they get behind or can’t gain substantial yards on the ground, that’s when severe complications emerge.
This makes D’Onta Foreman a crucial part of whatever success comes Carolina’s way in Week 14. The former Texas standout is a volume back that uses his physicality to overwhelm opposing defenses, so expect his number to be called a lot right out of the gate by offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo.
Even though the Seattle Seahawks look on course for a shock wild card berth, their run defense has been nothing to brag about in 2022. They are currently giving up 155.3 rushing yards per game – which is second-worst behind only the Houston Texans – so the opportunity for Foreman behind a forceful offensive line is there for all to see.
The Panthers cannot afford to begin this game on the back foot. Therefore, controlling the clock through Foreman’s bruising style and putting Sam Darnold in manageable situations is the best route forward.
Another strong outing from Foreman in this one might cement his bid for a long-term commitment. Something that should bring about an increased sense of urgency.
