5 draft prospects that could immediately help the Panthers in 2023

Carolina Panthers could draft Isaiah Foskey
Brian Burns has emerged as an elite pass-rushing weapon this season. Something that’s been a significant help to the Carolina Panthers and played a leading role in the team rejecting a major offer from the Los Angeles Rams before the trade deadline.
With that being said, things have been less promising opposite Burns on the defensive line. Marquis Haynes continues to shine from a rotational role, but Yetur Gross-Matos is finding life tough generating pressure despite some improvements against the run.
This could lead the Panthers into acquiring another option from the college ranks in 2023. And this might be one of their opening selections given how important this phase of the game is to a team’s overall fortunes.
Someone like Isaiah Foskey is worthy of consideration. The Notre Dame prospect seemed to be constantly living in opposing backfields during his time with the Fighting Irish and has the physique that already looks tailormade for the NFL.
Foskey’s 10.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss this season were fine examples of his promise. This was more impressive when one considers how much attention he received from offensive lines throughout the campaign.
If the Panthers want a complimentary piece for Burns, then Foskey fits the bill. This would provide an ever-improving defensive front with another explosive asset that could put Carolina over the hump.
