Carolina Panthers get 2 INTs from Jaycee Horn

All eyes were on Jaycee Horn in Week 14 as he competed against D.K. Metcalf, who is widely regarded as one of the league’s most physically-imposing wide receivers. This was an acid test for the former No. 8 overall selection, which he passed with flying colors to formally announce himself on the national stage.

Anyone that’s watched Horn closely this season wouldn’t have been surprised in the slightest by this performance. He’s locked down everyone in his path to emerge as an elite cornerback, which is exactly what the Carolina Panthers hoped when they selected him over Justin Fields in 2021.

Horn is a man at the top of his craft right now. Something that’s particularly impressive when one considers he missed all but three games of his rookie season thanks to a broken foot sustained at the Houston Texans.

Sunday’s matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers is set to feature more mouth-watering battles for the South Carolina product. Horn will look to limit the influence of George Pickens and Diontae Johnson – two gifted wide receivers who can make any secondary pay if afforded enough space.

However, the Steelers have some serious questions at quarterback with Kenny Pickett in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Whether it’s Mitchell Trubisky or Mason Rudolph, this is a good opportunity for Horn to enhance his ever-blossoming credentials and play a big part in Carolina getting another valuable win.
