Carolina Panthers could target Anthony Richardson

When one examines the options with dynamic traits potentially available to the Carolina Panthers in 2023, then Anthony Richardson is right up there. The Florida product is every bit the development project many anticipated before the campaign, but the athleticism that comes with it is nothing short of extraordinary.

Providing he lands in the right fit, this is a prospect that can take the NFL by storm with additional refinement. But there’s just no telling how long it’ll take Richardson to develop into a starter.

This leaves his draft projections all over the place. Some analysts have him going in the top 10 while others could see a scenario where he falls out of the first round altogether.

Richardson has traits most don’t. The sort of rare elements that cannot be taught no matter how good the coaching is.

The arm strength, mobility, and ability to electrify look tailor-made for the next level. Richardson’s prowess in going through progressions and keeping his eyes downfield in the face of pressure also came on encouragingly in 2022.

This could be a slow burn where Ricardson’s development is concerned. But there’s every chance he can progress quicker than expected based on his current career trajectory.

Richardson is also a prospect that could be within Carolina’s reach. Even though there are plenty of unknowns ahead of the all-important draft assessment stage.
