Matt Rhule got everyone thinking that the Carolina Panthers drafted a bust in Terrace Marshall Jr. But since the previous head coach was mercifully removed from the organization, his turnaround has been encouraging.

The wide receiver is making big plays and becoming more of an influential presence in the passing attack. Something that the Panthers needed in no uncertain terms after trading Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals shortly before the deadline.

This is a good start from Marshall after getting a confidence boost from Steve Wilks. He’s putting his physicality to better use, with improved route-running another positive factor that cannot be overlooked when evaluating his production.

Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions could be a profitable one for Marshall. If Jeff Okudah matches up consistently with D.J. Moore as expected, then the former LSU star can get the better of either Will Harris or Mike Hughes thanks to the tools at his disposal.

Providing the offensive line and Sam Darold live up to their end of the bargain, backing Marshall to score a touchdown any time in Week 16 at +400 (bet $100 to win $400) with FanDuel Sportsbook seems like a solid wager that could reap rewards.
