3 best prop bets for the Carolina Panthers vs. Lions in Week 16

D’Onta Foreman prop bets
- Over 54.5 rushing yards at -114 (FanDuel Sportsbook)
Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was an anonymous one for D’Onta Foreman. The running back couldn’t get anything going behind an offensive line that was found wanting in the trenches – leaving the Carolina Panthers fighting an uphill battle almost from start to finish.
This was disappointing from Foreman’s point of view. But his performances since Christian McCaffrey’s trade to the San Francisco 49ers have been pleasing overall.
Foreman will look to make a bigger impression this weekend against the Detroit Lions, who are giving up 133.4 yards per game on the ground – ranked No. 27 across the league. The Panthers need to set the tone early, with conditions also suggesting a heavy dose of running plays right out of the gate to alleviate pressure on Sam Darnold.
The former Texas standout is aiming to finish the campaign strongly and get an extension from Carolina before free agency. One could argue he’s already done enough to warrant another commitment, but Foreman putting up big numbers over the final three contests would be the icing on the cake.
Providing the offensive line returns to the impressive form they’ve displayed more often than not in 2022, Foreman can thrive in Carolina’s home finale. Therefore, backing the running back to gain more than 54.5 rushing yards at -114 with FanDuel Sportsbook (bet $114 to win $100) seems like decent value.
