Carolina Panthers get 2 TDs from Terrace Marshall Jr.

One of the biggest positives to emerge from Steve Wilks’ time as interim head coach is the emergence of Terrace Marshall Jr. The wide receiver is thriving without the presence of Matt Rhule, who clearly had his 2021 second-round selection in the dog house for reasons unbeknown to anyone but himself.

Thankfully, that’s no longer the case. And there’s been a lot to like about Marshall’s contribution since the Carolina Panthers traded Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals for two late-round selections.

Where once nothing but pessimism resided, there is hope at last. Rhule had everyone believing Marshall was a potential draft bust, but the former LSU standout is now staking a strong claim to be a legitimate No. 2 option in 2023.

Carolina needs one or two reinforcements at wide receiver. They would also benefit hugely from a consistent quarterback and a play-caller that doesn’t go to pieces whenever the run game gets shut down.

Working on the assumption that Jeff Okudah will spend the majority of his time covering D.J. Moore, this leaves Marshall facing the prospect of Will Harris as his primary adversary. Although decent, the corner is prone to a mistake or two – something the blossoming wideout will look to take advantage of.
