Which current starters on the Carolina Panthers must be replaced in time for the 2023 season?
With two games remaining for the Carolina Panthers in 2022, it’s hard not to start looking forward to what promises to be an offseason full of drama. Although those in power are not hitting the rest button entirely, some critical decisions await that are sure to come with huge repercussions one way or the other.
There have been times this season when the Panthers don’t look too far away from contending. So providing the right acquisitions and appointments are acquired this spring, it won’t take long for genuine improvements to surface.
Of course, that also has ramifications for those currently on the roster. Many face a nervous wait before the eventual fate is decided, so it promises to be a fascinating few months once Carolina’s 2022 fate is determined.
On this topic, we picked out three Panthers starters who must be replaced in time for the 2023 campaign.
Player No. 1
Tommy Tremble – Carolina Panthers TE
Tommy Tremble came into the league with a lot going for him. While he’s flashed promise on occasions, the Carolina Panthers need a better pass-catching tight end if they choose to keep Ian Thomas due to his outstanding blocking ability.
The former third-round selection out of Notre Dame might be better suited to a full-back role moving forward. Tremble ‘s route-running and ability to catch under pressure need significant work, which is not ideal heading into Year 3 of his professional career.
