Luke Kuechly – Former Carolina Panthers LB

  • Position: Linebackers Coach/Defensive Coordinator

Although Luke Kuechly‘s playing days are unfortunately a thing of the past, he remains deeply committed to the Carolina Panthers. After holding the position of pro scout briefly, the perennial All-Pro linebacker moved into the broadcast booth in 2022 and has gone down a storm in his newfound role.

Kuechly is a student of the game. Someone deeply respected by his peers and coaches alike thanks to his cerebral approach and ability to make plays consistently.

This makes Kuechly a prime candidate to move into coaching permanently. There are slight concerns about his lack of experience, but this sort of move will be incredibly well supported by the fanbase and should be considered by interim head coach Steve Wilks if he gets an extension.

The former Boston College star has forgotten more about the game than most will ever know. And this move could take Carolina’s progressive young defense to a completely different stratosphere under Kuechly’s guidance.

Kuechly is on Mount Rushmore among the greatest-ever Panthers players. But he still has a tremendous amount to give and if the legendary figure demonstrates an interest, then bringing him onto Wilks’ coaching staff should be given some serious thought.
