It’s been another turbulent year for the Carolina Panthers, but what wishes should fans have for the team moving forward in 2023?

To say that 2022 was a dramatic one for the Carolina Panthers would be a grave understatement. This year had a little bit of everything from trades, losses, key firings, and renewed hope – a sign of how things have unfolded for the franchise since David Tepper assumed ownership.

Looking ahead always brings a sense of optimism. The Panthers are currently fighting for an unlikely playoff berth at the time of writing, which would be nothing short of astonishing when one considers how bleak things looked earlier in the campaign.

Whether they make the playoffs or not, this promises to be an eventful offseason that will shape the short and long-term future of Carolina football. But if influential figures get big upcoming decisions right, then trending upward quickly becomes entirely possible.

With that in mind, here are four New Year’s wishes fans hope come true for the Panthers in 2023.

Carolina Panthers continue to re-establish connections

The disillusion between the Carolina Panthers and its long-suffering support almost reached breaking point under Matt Rhule. Since the former Baylor man was fired, there’s been a noticeable shift and something the franchise can hopefully build upon next year.

This is a close-knit, family environment with a strong ethos. While this was lost under Rhule, the connection is being restored and hopefully, it’s a trend that can enhance long into the future.
