Even though the Carolina Panthers finished with a losing record once again, some bonafide superstars emerged from another dramatic 2022 season.

The Carolina Panthers 2022 season has been officially laid to rest. Players have cleared out their lockers, exchanged pleasantries, written superlatives on gear to commemorate the time spent with their teammates, and then hit the road to wherever the offseason takes them. In familiar fashion, all of this transpired before the NFL playoffs begin.

Carolina’s campaign got off to an auspicious start, to say the least. The most logical explanation is that Matt Rhule convinced the entire team that the first five games were just an extended test run for Halloween.

He dressed up as an NFL head coach and bought matching garbage bin costumes for the players to masquerade around in. Not sure why it took so long, but eventually owner David Tepper hopped out of the Mystery Machine, peeled off the mask, and foiled the college coach’s rascal plan – much to the delight of fans and players alike.

That move propelled the Panthers to find their actual identity and even helped facilitate a quasi-successful turnaround during the remaining 12 contests. Carolina still fell short of the postseason and proved there is plenty of work left to do if they want to be considered a serious contender.

It wasn’t all lost in the dumpster fire. In fact, I’d go as far as saying the Panthers came out of this season with a handful of bright stars that provide optimism for the future.

With this in mind, here are five bonafide superstars to emerge from Carolina’s turbulent 2022 season.
