Carolina Panthers should watch Adetomiwa Adebawore

  • Defensive End | Northwestern Wildcats

It’s no secret that the Carolina Panthers are looking for an effective pass-rusher opposite Brian Burns. Their gamble to let Haason Reddick walk in free agency came back to bite them, so addressing this need as a matter of urgency is essential for those in power ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Adetomiwa Adebawore is a little rough around the edges. But teams will likely fall in love with his exceptional athletic attributes that could develop into something more with the right coaching.

Carolina Panthers should watch Demarvion Overshown

  • Linebacker | Texas Longhorns

Another season passed without the Panthers finding stability at the middle linebacker position. Things improved when Shaq Thompson switched to the interior, but he could become a salary-cap casualty given the savings involved with his early release.

Demarvion Overshown has the range to play sideline-to-sideline at a high level. Being overly aggressive at times is an issue, but there is a lot to like about his overall NFL prospects provided he impresses throughout the evaluation process.

Carolina Panthers should watch Jarrett Patterson

  • Offensive Line | Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Panthers need to solidify depth across their offensive line. Carolina’s unit was among the league’s most improved in 2022, but injuries to Austin Corbett and Brady Christensen coupled with Bradley Bozeman’s contract status means more is needed.

Jarrett Patterson specialized at the center spot at Notre Dame. But his versatility – especially in pass protection – could ensure a smooth transition to one of the guard positions if required.
