Carolina Panthers should watch Derius Davis

  • Wide Receiver | TCU Horned Frogs

There wasn’t much consistency outside of D.J. Moore in the passing game last season. A lot of this had to do with yet further inconsistency at the quarterback spot, but strengthening this area via the 2023 NFL Draft is something the Carolina Panthers should consider.

Derius Davis was an explosive complimentary piece for Texas Christian en route to their memorable national championship appearance. He looks destined for slot duties at the next level given his size and elusiveness, which could also assist as a kick returner during his immediate transition.

Carolina Panthers should watch Kenny McIntosh

  • Running Back | Georgia Bulldogs

Depending on the status of D’Onta Foreman before free agency, the Panthers could also look to acquire a running back from the college ranks. However, Frank Reich stated how impressed he was with the ground game during his opening interview as Carolina’s head coach, so keeping the Texas product around cannot be ruled out.

If all else fails, Kenny McIntosh is a prospect of interest. The Georgia star gained 829 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns as the Bulldogs clinched their second-straight national title, so he could be a high-value selection in the mid-rounds.

Carolina Panthers should watch Henry To’oTo’o

  • Linebacker | Alabama Crimson Tide

As stated previously, the Panthers need to find a long-term successor for the great Luke Kuechly. However, asking anyone to replicate the production accomplished by the perennial All-Pro linebacker is a significant stretch.

Henry To’oTo’o’s communication, leadership, and ability to be around the football consistently could make him a top 50 selection with a strong assessment phase. Carolina will monitor his progress closely, but they might have other more pressing needs to fill first.
