Carolina Panthers should watch Luke Musgrave

  • Tight End | Oregon State Beavers

It will be interesting to see how Luke Musgrave’s recovered from a knee injury that restricted him to just two games in 2022. The Carolina Panthers need pass-catching consistency at the tight end spot, so they’ll be more interested than most in his progress.

While Musgrave wasn’t the most productive or explosive at Oregon State, he boasts an NFL-ready build and is a smooth route-runner that can be effective either across the middle or in the red zone.

Carolina Panthers should watch Kyu Blu Kelly

  • Cornerback | Stanford Cardinals

Donte Jackson is facing a long road back to fitness after tearing his Achilles. C.J. Henderson and Keith Taylor Jr. were both inconsistent in 2022, so the Panthers should explore avenues that upgrade their cornerback room this offseason.

Kyu Blu Kelly has the size, speed, and press coverage skills that almost every team seeks in the modern-day NFL. Building up functional strength will be crucial, but the Stanford product could become one of the 2023 Senior Bowl stars thanks to his exceptional physical traits.

  • Outside Linebacker | Cincinnati Bearcats

Adding to the defensive second level is almost a necessity for the Panthers. Ivan Pace Jr. possesses the strength, explosiveness, and versatility to help at any linebacker spot immediately.

Pace rose to prominence during Cincinnati’s college football playoff appearance in 2021. Something he followed up with 136 tackles, 20.5 tackles for loss, and nine sacks in his final campaign with the Bearcats.
