Frank Reich wants to bring Carolina Panthers pride back

After making Charlotte his home and playing here during the team’s earlier forrays into the NFL, Frank Reich knows what the Carolina Panthers mean to this community. Something that got lost in the worst possible way when Matt Rhule’s cloud descended.

Steve Wilks restored a level of pride and belonging. This is what Reich plans to not only emulate but enhance in 2023 and beyond.

This was a topic he brought up during a passionate, well-spoken introductory press conference. Reich highlighted the importance of keeping Sam Mills’ legacy alive while also setting out his stall to make everyone proud of their football team once again.

"“We’re going to bring a style of football this city will be proud of. It’s going to be exciting, it’s going to be innovative. The vision is clear…it’s to create a brand of excellence. The top end is championships, the bottom end is we’re a playoff team.”"

As Reich also stated, the margins between winning and losing in the NFL are often slim. It all comes down to the details and that’s going to be one of his primary focus points once players return to the building for scheduled OTAs before training camp.

It could be a long process. But considering the talent already residing on the Panthers, there’s a chance for instant NFC South title aspirations if everything clicks immediately.
