8 early 2023 Senior Bowl week standouts for the Panthers radar

Carolina Panthers should monitor Nathaniel Dell
- Wide Receiver | Houston Cougars
As stated previously, the Carolina Panthers could use another weapon in the passing game. Specifically in the slot unless the likes of Shi Smith and Laviska Shenault Jr. make the necessary improvements this offseason.
Frank Reich’s offensive background means the more tools he has to utilize, the better. And there is one particular wide receiver shining more than most at this year’s Senior Bowl.
Nathaniel “Tank” Dell led the nation in receiving yards in 2022 and it’s not hard to see why. He is exceptional in getting out his cuts, mesmerizing opposing defensive backs during one-on-one drills throughout the opening two practices.
Dell is also explosive enough to create separation and the ball skills are right where they need to be. He does appear to be a little small for an outside NFL role currently, but there’s nothing to suggest a slot contribution couldn’t occur as a rookie if the player adjusts.
The former Houston star has been turning heads in Mobile, so his stock is soaring. That being said, Dell might be available late on Day 2 or early on Day 3 if the Panthers wanted to bring him into the fold.
While he gets up to speed, Dell also has potential as a kick returner thanks to his elusiveness. But again, bulking up would assist in this regard.
