Which Carolina Panthers players could benefit most from their team’s decision to appoint Frank Reich as head coach?

Now that Frank Reich‘s introductory press conference is in the rearview mirror, he can focus on studying players and trying to form a concise plan to bring the Carolina Panthers into contention. It seems as if general manager Scott Fitterer is now in charge of recruitment, which leaves the head coach free to properly develop those on the roster during OTAs and training camp.

Reich has a proven track record for exactly this. His sound offensive-mind and strong principles came across in no uncertain terms during Tuesday’s presser, which seemed to go down well with the select group of players in attendance.

This should stand Reich and the Panthers in good stead as they look to take command of the NFC South next season. Some quality reinforcements must be acquired before then, but there is enough talent already in Carolina to suggest this might be feasible providing the coaching transition goes smoothly.

With this in mind, here are four Panthers players who could benefit most from Reich’s arrival in 2023.

Frank Reich wants to progress the passing attack after so much inconsistency, and rightfully so. But the head coach also highlighted the importance of creating a running attack capable of controlling the tempo of any game.

The Carolina Panthers looked like a team that could do this last season with D’Onta Foreman and Chuba Hubbard. Something that Reich should identify as a key tandem for future progress.

Every facet of Hubbard’s game came on significantly in his sophomore campaign. Reich’s presence could benefit the former Oklahoma State stud, especially when it comes to running routes and catching out of the backfield.
