Carolina Panthers must re-sign Bradley Bozeman

It represents a refreshing change to see the general manager in charge of personnel. This has been a recipe for success throughout NFL history and allows Frank Reich to focus primarily on coaching up those under his influence.

Scott Fitterer now has the power after Matt Rhule became surplus to requirements. The potential for growth is there, but many key decisions this offseason could define his tenure with the Carolina Panthers.

Signing free agents and drafting top college talent is right up there. Fitterer must also figure out which members of the current roster deserve to stick around in 2023.

One player that should receive a handsome payday is Bradley Bozeman. The veteran center made a huge splash when coming in for the injured Pat Elflein, establishing himself as a consistent presence and a prominent leader within a relatively young locker room.

Bozeman’s importance within the community is another element that cannot be overlooked. James Campen’s return as offensive line coach is a sign continuity will be valued, which can hopefully lead to the one-time Alabama stud signing a long-term deal.

If not, the Panthers would be in an unnecessary bind considering Elflein is a prime candidate for early release.
