Which Carolina Panthers find themselves on the hot seat heading into the 2023 off-season?

One could make a strong case for the upcoming offseason being the most important in Carolina Panthers’ franchise history. Frank Reich is the new head coach and if those in power get some crucial decisions right, the NFC South is there for the taking after Tom Brady’s official retirement earlier this week.

Matt Rhule’s meddling and suspect management of personnel affairs is no longer a problem. Carolina’s newfound collective approach could reap instant rewards if everyone’s on the same page right from the outset.

This is a time for cautious optimism. Fans have been stung by false promises with little substance in the past, but the clear improvements in professionalism and standards could be enough for the Panthers to make strides next season.

Before all that, here are four Panthers who are feeling the hot seat pressure heading into the 2023 off-season.

The trade to acquire C.J. Henderson from the Jacksonville Jaguars hasn’t worked out as anyone hoped. To put it mildly.

Influential figures within the Carolina Panthers were banking on the cornerback reaching the heights expected of a top-10 selection in unfamiliar surroundings. But his first two seasons have been lackluster at best leaving Henderson’s future prospects hanging in the balance.

There is just something missing from a consistency standpoint. Henderson should make the 53-man roster once again, but significant improvements are needed with the potential for additional reinforcements raising competition.
