4 moves Frank Reich could make to bolster Panthers staff in 2023

Carolina Panthers could hire Corey Dennis as QB coach
This is a little out of leftfield and is dependent on one thing.
The Carolina Panthers trading up to draft C.J. Stroud.
Stroud seems to have all the intangibles Frank Reich is looking for in Carolina’s next franchise quarterback. And what better way to smooth a critical early transition than bringing his college coach onto the Panthers staff?
Corey Dennis has no NFL experience and is just 30 years old. However, the coach is progressive and deserves enormous credit for bringing along the likes of Stroud and Justin Fields over the last few years.
Dennis is generating a fierce reputation for developing and recruiting college quarterbacks. While there is still a stigma surrounding Buckeyes’ signal-callers and their transition to the next level, this has altered under his tutelage and gains more weight if Stroud thrives sooner than anticipated.
There’s just no telling how much Dennis would grow under Reich, who is an exceptional offensive mind and proven quarterback developer having played the position himself. However, going down the college route might not be in the team’s train of thought after Matt Rhule’s failings.
This would need to be a package deal, one suspects. And even then, Reich might decide to surround himself with someone he knows rather than an unproven commodity.
Still, the thought is intriguing if nothing else.
