The defensive coordinator has an ever-growing reputation in league circles. Evero was coveted for head coaching jobs and wanted by both the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings before deciding on the Panthers – even if it might only be for one season.
Working with a solid core to build around was likely a leading factor in Evero joining the Panthers. Something that could mean good news for those facing uncertain futures before the free-agent frenzy begins.

Player No. 1
Cory Littleton – Carolina Panthers LB
Ejiro Evero runs a primary 3-4 base that is dependent on generating pressure and productive players in coverage. This could lead the Carolina Panthers into an extension for Cory Littleton given his prowess in this particular discipline.
Littleton performed well on a rotational basis after joining in free agency from the Las Vegas Raiders. There were times of struggle against the run, but his ability in obvious passing situations was an asset and something Evero could put to good use.
