Carolina Panthers get their QB

The rumor mill has been swirling for a while now about what the Carolina Panthers are going to do at quarterback. A constant stream of inept personnel moves leaves a gaping hole under center once again, which is something those in power need to get right this spring as part of their new collective approach without Matt Rhule.

There are a number of options available. But it would be a big surprise if the Panthers didn’t go down the draft route unless someone like Justin Fields or Lamar Jackson becomes available.

Of course, acquiring a free agent such as Derek Carr is another option. But the price could jeopardize Carolina’s chances of filling other needs or retaining some key figures, which is concerning.

General manager Scott Fitterer wants the Panthers to draft and develop, in an ideal world. Given how desperate David Tepper is to find his franchise quarterback, risking it all for a daring surge up the draft board seems likely in the grand scheme of things.

Whether it’s C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, or perhaps even Will Levis or Anthony Richardson, the message is clear – do whatever it takes to get your guy.

Carolina’s coaching staff makes this an unbelievable environment for any college prospect to learn their craft alongside some of the best mentors in the business. Something which only enhances the level of intrigue in the weeks leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft.
