Bryce Young's mobility (or lack thereof)
Bryce Young has been on the injury report with a knee issue. The Carolina Panthers have listed him as a full practice participant and haven't given him any designation over the last few games, but something just isn't right.
Young's mobility is nowhere near what it was last season and early in the 2026 campaign. There is no desire to run with the ball in space, and his lateral movements look awkward. For a player with sneaky athleticism that can catch teams off guard, it's hard to miss.
Whether it's a shift in playing style or the knee issue at the back of his mind, it's hurting Young's ability to make an impact. And with the offensive line performing so poorly, it only makes the inability to escape even more glaring.
Young is moving quickly side to side out of the pocket, but when it comes to improvising with the football in his hands, that part of his game has completely gone. There is clearly a reason, but whether the Panthers disclose it or not is another matter.
Hopefully, Young can rest and heal during the mini-bye. Because the Denver Broncos are next up, which means he'll have to get out on the move a lot against their ferocious front seven on defense.

Bryce Young kept fighting, but it wasn't enough
You could never accuse Bryce Young of lacking fight. The quarterback never throws in the towel, and he is always driving his teammates forward in the face of adversity.
But unfortunately for the signal-caller, the cards were simply stacked too much against him.
The Packers tried their best to get the Panthers back into the game. They seemed to take their foot off the throttle in the second half, giving Young life as hope faded rapidly.
But the pressure told in the end.
Young just didn't have enough time. His throws weren't on point when it counted on a crucial final drive, and the Panthers fell to another defeat. A lot of soul-searching is needed now, and that goes for the Heisman Trophy winner, too.
The Panthers are starting to creep back into some bad habits. Things are becoming disjointed, and the complementary football just isn't where it needs to be. Young is down the list of problems, but he's got to find the magic that saw him take the league by storm before the bye week.
That break came at a bad time for Young and the Panthers. Things just haven't clicked since, and this is another showing the signal-caller would probably like to have back.
