It was a job well done.

Winner No. 3

Tommy Tremble - Carolina Panthers TE

While all the hype has centered on other offensive weapons, tight end Tommy Tremble is quietly putting together an outstanding campaign. His blocking credentials need no introduction, but with offensive coordinator Brad Idzik calling plays, he's becoming more influential in the passing attack.

Having someone like Darren Waller to take up the attention is clearly benefiting Tremble. Idzik is scheming things up for him well, using his athleticism and aggressive post-catch ability to good use.

This came across against the Philadelphia Eagles. Tremble brought in all four of his targets for 46 receiving yards. More importantly, he found the end zone twice, becoming a trusted target for Bryce Young that Vic Fangio just didn't see coming.

Unbelievably, this is Tremble's sixth season in Carolina. He is out of contract next spring, but based on his first five games, the former Notre Dame star is doing more than enough to warrant another financial commitment.

Loser No. 1

Robert Hunt - Carolina Panthers OL

Having Taylor Moton back alongside him would have been a big relief for right guard Robert Hunt. He's struggled without an experienced edge presence, and his regression was deeply concerning before he faced the stud defensive tackle tandem of Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter.

Hunt was a little better at Lincoln Financial Field. But as one of the team's highest earners and a Pro Bowl-caliber performer when firing on all cylinders, he is held to a higher standard.

There were once again too many inconsistencies in Hunt's overall performance. He was called for two crucial penalties in key moments, which was beyond frustrating. And even though he had some nice moments, especially on running plays, it was another indifferent performance.

This is becoming a problem for both Hunt and the Panthers. All the big hitters are in the lineup now, so there is no excuse. A big effort is needed, with Vita Vea coming to town next.

Winner No. 4

Chuba Hubbard - Carolina Panthers RB

Another player going under the radar who's putting together a tremendous season is Chuba Hubbard. The Panthers have been decimated by injuries at running back, so the Oklahoma State product has had to shoulder a heavy burden over the last few contests.

Hubbard has no trouble doing this. If anything, the more touches he gets, the better he becomes. He showed this to full effect against the Eagles in Week 6.

It took Hubbard a while to get going. But once he found his groove, the backfield force was purposeful, exploiting gaps created by the offensive line and gaining punishing yards as the game wore on.

The Panthers had a lead to protect in the second half, and Hubbard came to the fore. With 120 rushing yards and one touchdown from 28 carries, the 2021 fourth-round pick proved he can be the workhorse this team needs right now.
