Panthers Re-sign Lewis

The Charlotte Observer is reporting that the Panthers have re-signed Damione Lewis, a key reserve defensive lineman, to a three-year deal.  The move prevents Lewis from seeking employment elsewhere in the NFL next season since he was scheduled to become a free agent at the end of February.

"He becomes the first prospective free agent to agree to re-sign. The Panthers are also trying to strike deals with others, including offensive tackle Jordan Gross. Lewis started two games and tied for the team lead in sacks with 3 1/2."

There is currently no news to report on a contract for Jordan Gross but we’ll keep you updated.
