Jersey sales are hot for the Panthers

Week 8 of the NFL season is upon us and amazingly, there are still five undefeated teams in the NFL (in no particular order)

1.  Denver Broncos
2.  Green Bay Packers
3.  New England Patriots
4.  Cincinnati Bengals

5.  Carolina Panthers!

Like all the media is saying, the Carolina Panthers are probably the most unlikely of teams to be undefeated right now, but, the Panthers are playing as a team and that is how they remain undefeated.

Just because the media does not yet believe in the Carolina Panthers, does not mean that fans do not believe.  Fans might be jumping on the bandwagon, or they might not be, but either way, Panthers’ jerseys are a hot item.

We previously discussed DICK’s Sporting Goods‘ jersey sales, but that was earlier in the season.  The Panthers – Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly and Shaq Thompson – all ranked high in jersey sales at the time.

With the Panthers’ still undefeated, the momentum is still there with jersey sales.

Looking at jersey sales, Kuechly’s jersey ranks sixth overall and second overall among defensive players.

Cam ranks 14th overall, which is only two spots behind Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.

Imagine if both teams win the week and go into next week’s game at Bank of America Stadium both without any blemishes on their records.  How many Rodgers’ jerseys and Cam jerseys will be in the crowd that day?

Shaq is still making an impact among fans – he has played well and stepped it up when Luke was out – as his jersey ranks 10th in sales among rookies.  Better yet, the only other rookie ahead of him on an undefeated team – Shane Ray of the Broncos.

Essentially, what does all this mean?  It means that if you pay on an undefeated team, likely your jersey will sell.

Look season-to-date where overall jersey sales stand for the undefeated teams

New England Patriots – #1
Denver Broncos – #9
Green Bay Packers – #11
Cincinnati Bengals – #13

While your Carolina Panthers rank………#4!!!!!  Which is second among the undefeated teams!
