Panthers’ Davis surprises shoppers at DICK’S Sporting Goods

Thomas Davis of the Carolina Panthers gives back with “Buy Online, Pick-up In-Store” campaign

The Carolina Panthers have a special player in linebacker Thomas Davis, not only on the field, but off the field as well.

Davis, who has had to overcome three ACL tears to the same knee is playing what many are considering his best football of his career this year.

Davis continues to get faster in the pass and rush game and is continually getting to the quarterback this year, whether it is sacking the opposing quarterback (Tony Romo – do you remember getting hit by this truck), or just getting pressure in the backfield.

However, not only is Davis having a special season on the field, he also is having a special season off the field.  Davis contributes so much to the community and gives back in so many ways, as he is the defending Walter Payton Man of the Year.

But, Davis contributes off the field in other ways and what would you do if you were taken by surprise by Davis while shopping?  This happened to some very unsuspecting customers at DICK’S Sporting Goods in Charlotte, NC at SouthPark Mall.

As you can see, Davis was there to assist customers who used the DICK’s “Buy Online, Pick-Up In-Store” service, which is a great way for shopping either this time of year.

How the project works eliminates crowds, searching in store and any hassle you might have while looking for items.  All you have to do is go to DICK’s Web site and select what you are looking for.  Then, see if it is at a store near you and if so, click that you will be picking up the item at the store.

Next, go to the location and scan your receipt at the kiosk, as an employee gets the product to you within a few minutes.
