Dallas Cowboys v Seattle Seahawks

Win or lose on Sunday, in the unlikely event that Seattle and Dallas tie the Panthers would be guaranteed a playoff spot. However, one is likely to win and should Carolina lose their final two, if Sunday’s winner also wins next week it could push the Panthers out of playoff contention.

Seattle embarrassingly lost at home last week to the Rams while Dallas won their third straight. As running back Ezekiel Elliott returns from suspension, the Cowboys appear poised for a final push toward the playoffs.

Only capable of finishing 10-6, they would need some help from other teams. If the Panthers lose, Carolina needs whoever wins this game to lose their season finale. Winning their own game to guarantee a playoff berth is obviously the Panthers best bet.

Instead of relying on help and potential other scenarios, by taking care of their own business Carolina can extend their season for the fourth time in five years.
