The Carolina Panthers host Tampa Bay in their regular season home finale…

A win against Tampa Bay on Sunday and the Carolina Panthers are in the playoffs after posting a 6-10 record one year ago. Carolina has rebounded significantly amidst an incredibly talented NFC South division which may put three teams into the post season.

Opposite the Panthers game, all eyes will be on New Orleans where a Falcons victory would give Carolina an opportunity at their sixth divisional title. However, Carolina cannot overlook a tough albeit significantly depleted Buccaneers team.

Tampa Bay placed five on injured reserve this week after taking Atlanta down to the wire at home one week ago. Coach Dirk Koetter’s group has far from given up and can disrupt the standings significantly with wins in their final two games. Two Panthers losses could have them missing the playoffs entirely so focus is needed amidst off the field distractions involving a change in ownership.
