Tre’Quan Smith, WR – Central Florida

Height: 6-foot-1

Weight: 202 pounds

Age: 22

Projected 40-yard Dash: 4.54

Projected Round: 5-7

While the full potential of wide receivers Damiere Byrd, Kaelin Clay, Curtis Samuel and others has yet to be achieved, there is little doubt the Panthers will not try again at the position this year in the NFL Draft. Tre’Quan Smith could be a target in the later rounds for Carolina with a good combination of size and speed.

His route running capabilities and skill set to both work from the slot and extend the field, would be welcome additions to the Panthers offense. Smith had five catches and 89 yards against Auburn in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, with over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns on the season.

"Smith was a dangerous receiver for Central Florida and was a point-producer. He totaled 13 touchdowns on 59 receptions for 1,171 yards in 2017. Smith had 57 catches for 853 yards and five scores as a sophomore after 52 receptions for 724 yards and four scores in 2015. Smith will participate in the Senior Bowl and could use a strong week in Mobile."
