New York offensive line vs. Panthers defensive line

Some may argue that the matchup between Odell Beckham Jr. and the Carolina Panthers’ secondary is the most important matchup. While it will be a fun one to watch, how the New York offesnive line fares against the Carolina pass rush will be intriguing to watch.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning was sacked three times for 21 yards. On the season, the Giants rank No. 5 in the National Football League with 15 sacks allowed on the season. Again, that is not the worst number, but you certainly do not want to be in the top five in that category.  In their contest against Cincinnati, the Panthers recorded two sacks with a total loss of 22 yards. On the season the Panthers rank in the bottom half of the league with eight sacks on the year.

The tools are there for the Panthers to add to their sack total on Sunday. A lot of it will depend on if the secondary can contain the Giant receivers. If they can do that, the defense should be able to pressure Manning and at the very least, force him to make bad reads.
