Quarterback Play

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is playing at an MVP level this season. Currently completing a career high 68.5-percent of his passes, Newton has thrown for 2,086 yards and 17 touchdowns against just five interceptions.

Through nine games, Newton has also rushed for 352 yards and four additional scores. He’s on pace to either break or finish with career best marks in most categories minus the 2015 season, when he did win the league MVP award.

New offensive coordinator Norv Turner has worked on Newton’s development in terms of taking what the defense provides and connecting on shorter routes while allowing his receivers to do the work. To this point, it has been a tremendous success and should continue, putting the Panthers offense in good position down the stretch.
