Cam Newton is throwing again

This isn’t something that really took place during the first week of OTA’s. Rather, this was a development that occurred during the end of the second week. Quarterback Cam Newton is throwing again, and that is great news for the Panthers as their star looks to continue his road to recovery.

I don’t want him to rush things obviously. The face of the franchise should take as much time as he needs in getting back. However, I definitely want to see him being put into game action, whether it be simulated or real-life, as soon as possible. The shoulder should be put to the test. That way, the Carolina Panthers can know what to do moving forward. Either way, their backups should be ready for game action as you never know how the recovery process will go. Even still, Newton sewing may be healthy enough to go come August.

So far, it doesn’t seem like there have been any major hiccups in his recovery process. This makes me both hopeful and a little nervous. I’m worried that a hiccup will occur once he gets into game action. Maybe, things will be smooth-sailing. In any case, the fact that he is throwing again is a good sign for the 2019 season. You could tell especially after the Pittsburgh game in November that his shoulder was bothering him. Now, he will come into the 2019 season with a shoulder cleaned out and healthy. As a result, I expect big things from the offense.
