More from Cat Crave

If you didn’t know by now, Efe Obada grew up in London and this week he plays in front of his home crowd, likely garnering a ton of support along the way.

The third year player (originally on the practice squad) has really grown into his role as a depth edge rusher. With nine tackles this season, Obada has already surpassed his career high (8). He also earned elite status for his performance against Jacksonville. Pro Football Focus had him graded as the Panthers best defensive player by a long shot, in an effort that included a rare pass defense.

Obada is the center of attention this week, as he should be. His story is incredible and he’s an absolute inspiration. It would be ruthless for the Panthers not to give him ample opportunities to shine on Sunday and I’ll be looking for a big game out of Obada.
