Carolina Panthers defensive line

It is fair to give a nomination to an entire unit. The Carolina Panthers defense has been much improved throughout the first half of the season. After struggling last year, they have seem to have found their groove.

Currently, the Panthers defense ranks 14th in the National Football League with 22.2 points per game allowed. In addition to not allowing points, they have made an impact in multiple ways. Between interceptions and sacks, this unit has proved to be extremely formidable. Leading the way in the interceptions department is James Bradberry. He has three on the year. In terms of rushing the passer, the Carolina Panthers have many weapons that they can use in that department. Mario Addison leads the way with 6.5 sacks on the season.

It is great to see the defense have a tremendous year. With Cam Newton out of the picture, the defense has had to help the offense pick up the slack. It will be interesting to see if they can continue the positive momentum heading into the second half of the season.
