There is no question the Carolina Panthers are battling injuries right now.

The Carolina Panthers released their final injury report before Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. It’s safe to say that the secondary will be heading into Sunday’s show down a little banged up. There were several names on the injury report, but two were particularly of note. Defensive backs Ross Cockrell and Donte Jackson were listed on the injury report. Jackson’s game status is questionable, while Cockrell will be out.

In the grand scheme of things, Jackson’s status is certainly something to monitor. Although they might be 2-7, the Atlanta Falcons still bolster an explosive passing attack led by the duo of Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Even though they are not playing well right now, they are still a threat. Jackson in particular could help quell the passing attack. Jackson status will be monitored up until pregame warm-ups.

One other notable name on the injury report was offensive tackle Dennis Daley. He has emerged as a key player for the Carolina Panthers, starting in four out of the last five games. He is doubtful for Sunday’s game. Greg Little is expected to start in his place. Little is going to be thrown into the fire here. Much like Daley , he is certainly going to benefit from the experience. This is certainly been a trying year in terms of injuries for the offensive line. Nevertheless, the Carolina Panthers have seemed to adapt rather nicely.

With so many names on the injury report right now, it is rather lengthy. You can view the full injury report by clicking here.

Heading into a big divisional matchup, you hate to see the injury report so lengthy. This has been a common theme for the Carolina Panthers however. They have been banged up for what seems like the entirety of the season. Nevertheless, they have managed to play hard and in many games, play well. They will certainly have to do that against a tough Atlanta Falcons squad. Their record is not indicative of the way they can play. Sure, they have had some struggles this season. However, they will always provide a challenge to the Carolina Panthers.

Hopefully, these injuries will not affect the Panthers too much. Especially in the case of Jackson, hopefully he is ready to go. It is going to be a fun contest on Sunday, and hopefully the Panthers can bounce back after what was a tough game at the hands of Green Bay.
