Another Sunday, another tough loss for the Carolina Panthers.

This story is starting to get old. “The Panthers have the ball back and there is still time left on the clock for them to score!” Then the comeback falls short and our playoff chances become that much more unattainable. This was the third time in four weeks and the fourth time this season that the Panthers lost a “heartbreaker”. In reality, it was the seventh loss and we are officially out of the playoffs. The same week the Saints clinched a playoff berth at the top of the division, the Panthers clinched a regular season exit.

The same team that looked like Super Bowl contenders just a few months ago is now one of the biggest laughing stocks in the NFC South. Although Rivera doesn’t want to acknowledge it, his employment with this team is coming to a close. Each loss is more painful than the last, and this time there were no excuses.
