Carolina Panthers: Selling the team culture to free agents

Selling the coaches
Perhaps the most enticing part about the Panthers right now is the fact that the coaching staff just got a major overhaul. Any player looking to join a team led by people with proven success will feel right at home in Charlotte.
First is the all-important head coach of the team and former baron of the Baylor Bears, Matt Rhule. The man with a plan is already meshing very well with his new head of offense and has a brand of charisma that needs no introduction (because we still remember it from his first presser).
Next there is Joe Brady whose recent success serves as a shining reminder to all potential suitors that the Panthers are very serious about becoming a winning team. Expect the Panthers’ media and negotiators to be pushing Brady’s brand of charisma hard over the next few months and well into training camp.
Then there is Phil Snow who we haven’t seen much buzz about yet, and probably for a warranted buildup of anticipation. The Panthers don’t want to go promising too much too soon, especially not for an aspect of the team that will require a lot of improvement. They probably won’t provide much content from or about Snow until the draft.
Last, but certainly not least, is good old Chase Blackburn. The second most unappealing aspect of the team was special teams, but this was mostly due to the underwhelming performance of the players rather than the coaches. Training camp’s return man competition will be something to look forward to, and when Blackburn finds one or two good ones the special teams unit will be copacetic.
