Defensive end Julius Peppers was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team for the second time this Millenium to further enhance his lasting legacy with the Carolina Panthers.

Julius Peppers further enhanced his legacy as one of their greatest ever defensive ends with selection to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2010s. The formidable pass-rusher achieved the same feat in the 2000s, which further highlights just what a massive impact he had during his career.

There is little dispute that Peppers will go down in Carolina Panthers’ folklore after two prolific spells with the franchise. He was the team’s vocal leader and emerged as someone that warranted serious attention on every down.

He rightfully retired as a Panther and his All-Decade selection is a testament not only to the player’s ability. But also Peppers’ longevity in a brutal position to play for a prolonged period.

When Peppers was at the very top of his game, there were few offensive linemen that could cope with him. He was relentless in pursuit of the quarterback and also had a real nous for knowing when to get his hands up and deflect passes.

The Panthers sorely missed Peppers when he announced his retirement. He is a sure-fire Hall of Famer and left the NFL knowing he gave everything to the teams he put on uniforms for throughout his career.

His work within the community was another strong indication of the love Peppers had for the organization. His second consecutive All-Decade selection is another accolade to add to his impressive collection.
