Khaleke Hudson – (Michigan)

A prolific 2019 season and a strong evaluation process generated a considerable amount of buzz surrounding Michigan product Khaleke Hudson.

He is a real livewire at the second level and loves nothing more than putting a big hit on a player to build some defensive momentum. Hudson notched 102 combined tackles, three sacks, and two interceptions during his final campaign with the Wolverines.

Hudson is extremely athletic and is versatile enough to play safety if required. He possesses good coverage skills and is big enough to match tight ends or slot receivers down the field.

Another standout feature of his game is positional sense. Hudson has a good football IQ and was rarely in the wrong place. If the player can harness his aggression in the right way, then there is a real chance he could be a real asset at the next level.

He does tend to gamble in certain situations to his detriment. But this can also be attributed to Hudson’s confidence in his own ability.

If he wants to make a permanent switch to linebacker, Hudson is going to have to bulk up and learn how to move off blocks effectively. This is part of his game that needs widespread improvement.

The Carolina Panthers are currently rebuilding and have the veteran presence in the short-term to allow Hudson to make the necessary developments to his skill set.
